went to headwaters hospital in orangeville ontario may 15 2024 to emergency department. was seen by a physician clinician. wanted to be seen by a doctor. got harassed for my request, them when i said i was leaving and needed my i.v. taken out, the nurses made rude and sarcastic comment about me needing a nurse, so i had to remove my own i.v. from my arm so i could leave. i have heard of horror stories about this hospital before, but i now understand. people go to the hospital to see a DOCTOR. i’m sure some people are fine seeing an assistant, but people who are not, should not be miss treated by the staff. will never go to this hospital again. these people are supposed to be there to help and make you feel comfortable. far from it. also, they nurses are all running around with food and drink in hand while telling patients they can have nothing. poor practice. have your drinks, and food only in certain areas. i also read that i am entitled to have the care i am comfortable with, and entitled to a second opinion.
