On January 22, 2022 I went to rvh emerge for mental health concerns with my child. Without going into too much detail. The visit was short, ineffective and resulted in no action being taken. I had the crisis worker and Dr confirm that my 14 year old was being referred to outpatient psychiatry. They gave me a form for the adult line, the voicemail has been turned off for weeks I was informed. When I finally was able to reach admin I was told I had the wrong department. They transfered me to the correct department. There was apparently no referral made.

So not only did my child not get any services the night of the visit… we were told to connect with out patient and can’t because your staff didn’t even make the referral and now I am being told I need to take my child to his Dr for a referral (which will take longer than it would have had your staff done their jobs).

I am ashamed that this level of service is deemed acceptable. I want to speak to someone regarding this
