Brockville General Hospital
Mammogram skin abrasion I had a mammogram today. I discovered that my breasts had a burning sensation underneath when I removed my bra. When I checked I had lines about 3 to 4 inches under both, fire red, and extremely painful. The burning was intense. The skin looks like it’s pulled almost apart. I put antibiotic creme on hoping to relieve the pain. I have had yearly mammograms for the past 17 years. I have never had such an experience. I had to stand on my toes because the tech didn’t align the machine to suit my height. She either needs retraining or transferred to another part of the hospital. Her skills were something to be desired.
